What is roseland plantation?

Roseland Plantation is a historic plantation located in Upson County, Georgia, in the United States. The plantation was established in 1832 and was the home of several prominent families, including the Hightowers and the Butlers. The plantation was primarily a cotton plantation and operated with slave labor until the end of the Civil War. After the war, the plantation transitioned to growing peaches and other crops. The main house on the plantation is a Greek Revival style mansion that was built in 1850 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The plantation is currently owned by the Upson Historical Society and is open for tours.
